School Bus License 2 Game Review

School Bus License 2 Game Review

School Bus License 2
School Bus License 2
Here comes another game from the makers of great flash games like Wartune and Dragons of Atlantis Free Online Games (FOG). Their follow up game called School Bus License 2, (a follow up on the super popular School Bus License 1 game), where the player earns their license to drive a bus. In this game, the player is a bus driver who has to go through a series of exercises that require some driving skills to complete. Each campaign is a simple level that is timed starting with a few easy maneuvering techniques like parallel parking and driving around cones with old slick patches, and making sharp turns within a limited amount of time.

At first glance, this game can seem mundane, but a good game is one that the gamer cannot stop playing, and School Bus License 2 is 'that game'! The driving courses are short, but it takes some skill to get through them. The control functions are easy to learn, and all they require are left, right, up, and down arrows to control and a spacebar to use the handbrake. The control functions are not on a noticeable delay, but the sensation of the weight from the bus makes the response time somewhat difficult. New players to this game who are not used to the controls might experience slight panic and hit the wrong keys, kind of like hitting the gas instead of the brakes!

An instructor is given to the player that stands by with a clipboard off screen perhaps and shows up to when the player runs out the clock or fails. The game has a simple story line that is built around the games' characters where, camp drop off's are included as well as a drive through France, which really tests the player's maneuvering abilities. Some game play features have the puzzle like challenges, but most of the levels are practical goals such as picking up and dropping off children, and some chaotic street scenarios to get through as the game play continues yet even with just twenty very short levels in the game, they are difficult enough to get enough satisfactory game play out of it.

There are no changes in perspective of the game and angles the view as two dimensional but with more depth, which is simple and common for all flash game environments. Obviously there is a multiplayer feature as this is an online game, but this is only for matching scores with other players. The game is also conveniently available through Google play for mobile playing. There is plenty of bus driving games where the main challenge is driving one.

The game play could be linear, but still allows the player to jump around on different levels. There is a training function that will get the player used to the controls. As a free game it is not saturated with advertisements, it is very straightforward but very addictive and child safe. These games are promoted as simulators which in fact, will not be the same thing as putting the gamer in the wheel, but the facial gestures of panic and cringing through the game play is most likely, the reaction the player would have in a real driving test. School Bus License 2 is definitely worth the time.
